Seasonal Tire Changeovers
for Ontario Winters
All-season tires are not built for ice, packed snow, or temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius. The rubber compound in winter tires stays flexible in the cold and grips the road when all-seasons turn hard and slippery. If you drive in Ontario between November and March, winter tires are not optional.
When to switch to winter tires: Late October to mid-November. You want them on before the first hard freeze, not after you have already slid through an intersection. The compound advantage kicks in as soon as it drops below 7C.
When to switch back: Mid-April to early May, once overnight temperatures stay above 7 degrees consistently. Running winters in warm weather wears them out fast, hurts handling, and increases your stopping distance on dry pavement.
If your tires are already mounted on rims, a seasonal changeover takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Mount and balance from scratch takes about an hour. We torque every wheel to manufacturer spec and set tire pressure before you leave.

Repairs, and New Installs
Four core tire services. Each one done right, every time. No shortcuts.
Seasonal Tire Swap
Winter to all-season and back again. We efficiently mount your seasonal tires, torque to manufacturer spec with premium precision tools, and verify ideal air pressure for handling safety.
High-Speed Balancing
Protect your drivetrain and evenly wear your tires. We rotate according to your specific axle setup and utilize deep digital high-speed computerized balancing to obliterate highway vibration.
Tread Inspections & Patching
Picked up a screw? We fully dismount the tire to examine internal structural integrity. If deemed safe, we execute a rigorous inside-out patch-and-plug that is guaranteed to outlast the tread.
Premium Tire Sourcing
Ready for a fresh set? We supply world-class tires engineered for Ontario weather. Every single install is immaculately mounted, balanced, and torqued for perfect ride quality.

Tire Rotation - Why It
Matters and How Often
Your front and rear tires wear differently. Front-wheel-drive vehicles put most of the steering and braking load on the front tires, so they wear faster on the edges. AWD and rear-drive setups wear the rears differently. Without rotation, you end up replacing two tires while the other two still have life left.
We recommend rotating every 10,000 to 12,000 kilometres. A simple rule: rotate at every other oil change. We check your drivetrain and pick the right rotation pattern for your vehicle - front-to-rear, cross, or modified X depending on your setup.
We also do a visual brake inspection while the wheels are off. Pads, rotors, and calipers are right there in front of us. Catching worn brakes during a rotation saves you from finding out the hard way.
Uneven Wear Across Axles
Front tires on a front-wheel-drive car wear two to three times faster than the rears. Without rotation, you replace the fronts while the rears still have 60 percent tread left. Rotation evens this out.
Vibration at Highway Speed
Vibration through the steering wheel or the seat often points to a tire balance issue. We balance during every rotation to eliminate shimmy and extend tire life.
Cupping or Scalloped Wear
Scalloped wear patterns on the tread surface usually mean worn shocks, struts, or an alignment problem. We spot this during rotation and let you know what is causing it.
Inner or Outer Edge Wear
One-sided wear means the alignment is off. We catch this during rotation inspections. Fix the alignment first, then get the most out of your new or remaining tread.
When to Replace Your Tires
Four signs that your tires have reached the end of their service life. If any of these apply, replacement is the safe call.
Tread Below 2/32"
Insert a penny with the Queen's head facing down. If you can see the entire crown, your tread is too low and the tire needs replacing. Below 2/32 of an inch, the tire cannot grip wet or snowy roads safely.
Age Over 6 Years
Rubber degrades over time regardless of tread depth. Tires older than 6 years should be inspected carefully. After 10 years, they should be replaced even if the tread looks fine. Check the DOT date code on the sidewall.
Visible Damage
Sidewall bulges, cuts, cracks, or exposed cords mean the internal structure is compromised. These tires cannot be repaired and should be replaced immediately. A bulge means the tire could fail at speed.
Uneven Wear
Inside edge wear points to an alignment problem. Center wear means overinflation. Cupping or scalloping points to worn shocks or struts. Fix the root cause, then replace the tires.
